This article describes the steps to move a vPFM device between organizations
Prior to performing the transfer described below, make sure the vehicle is parked in a safe location where cellular connectivity is good. Make sure the park brake is set and the engine/ignition is turned off, although the vPFM will need to be powered on to perform this operation.
For vPFM devices are currently linked to a vehicle:
- Power the system on, let it get to online or standby status in vMC
- Navigate to the "Devices” page to see the vPFM's status:
- The vPFM status will appear next to the device name
- Navigate to the "Devices” page to see the vPFM's status:
- On the vPFM's page tap “Uninstall," to decouple the device from the vehicle
- Once the vPFM is decoupled from the vehicle, on the vPFM's page —> expand the Organization drop down, and move the device to “new” Account
- Navigate to the “new” account and verify that the device has migrated over to it.
- Assign it to the new virtual tractor in the new account
If the device was not originally linked to a virtual tractor, then skip step 2.
