Improved Mapping Experience - April 12, 2024

We are excited to announce a series of significant updates to Vehicle Mission Control (vMC), designed to make your operational management smoother, more intuitive, and efficient.

Streamlined Navigation Between Vehicles and Fields

We've made it easier to switch between vehicles and fields directly from the map, removing the need to use the sidebar or leave the map view. This enhancement not only speeds up the navigation process, but also contributes to a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.

Unified View of Coverage Plans and Missions

In response to your feedback, we've eliminated the need to toggle between tabs to view coverage plans and their corresponding missions. Now, you can see both in one unified place. This improvement not only saves time but also provides a clearer, more coherent view of your operations.

Mission-Coverage Plan Traceability

Understanding the relationship between missions and coverage plans is vital for effective operational planning. Our new update makes it possible to see exactly which missions were executed on specific coverage plans, offering you more clarity when trying to understand which coverage plan(s) have been used within a job.

Enhanced Mission Planning with Adjacent Field Geometries

To further aid in mission planning, we've introduced the ability to view adjacent field geometries. This addition allows for more contextual awareness and sets the stage for allowing missions that transit between fields - which is coming soon!

Do you want your vehicles to autonomously transit between fields?

We have been working hard to allow vehicles to autonomously transit between fields in order to reduce the need to physically drive vehicles between nearby fields before or after a mission. If you are interested in beta testing our upcoming field-to-field transit feature, send an email to the product team: product@sabantoag.com

Troubleshooting

  • Have too much overlapping geometry?
If you see a lot of overlapping geometry when viewing your fields, this means that you likely have duplicate fields in your account. We strongly recommend that you clean up or delete an unnecessary fields, including their field boundaries and holes.
