New Sequencing Feature and Enhanced System Performance
Implement sequencing
Support for PTO controlled turns was added to Steward. This is accomplished via sequencing and is first being utilized for the implement type Aerator. For more information on using this implement sequence please see our document Agrivator Equipment Usage. This functionally will allow operators to have implements that perform multiple actions during end of row turns and during other aspects of navigation. Operators can request custom implement control using sequencing by clicking the chat bubble next to "Configuration" in the equipment settings in vMC for their specific application. Or visit the form here.
Steering Performance improvements
Improvements to the steering system were made to reduce the frequency of "Paused because an issue with the following subsystems have been detected: Steering." errors that appear when the system is operating autonomously.
Expanded vehicle support
Steward can now be utilized on John Deere 5100M tractors as well as John Deere 5075E ROPS tractors.
Device restarts in manual mode
Swapping your implement or performing a device restart in vMC will no longer kill the ignition of the tractor if all the switches are in manual. Thus allowing steward to reboot without manual operation interruption.
Notification refinement fuel level
The frequency of fuel level notifications has been reduced.
Notification refinement for coolant warnings
The coolant temperature values have been updated for all models besides the 5100M platform. Thus reducing the amount of coolant level notifications being sent to users.
Geofence kills while not navigating
This update contains the first body of work needed to prevent killing the engine with the switches in auto if located outside of the geofence, but not working autonomously. This is a feature set we are working to continually improve and will be fully implemented in future updates.
