15: Speed Discrepancy

Understanding and Resolving Speed Discrepancy Pauses

This pause reason indicates a discrepancy between the tractor's actual speed and its expected or assigned speed during autonomous operation. This can occur either when the tractor is unexpectedly moving while it should be stationary, or when its traveling speed deviates significantly from the planned mission speed.

Severity

  • Low Severity:
    • Navigation paused: Steward™ was traveling [under, over] the assigned mission speed by number mph.
  • High Severity:
    • Ignition turned off: Steward™ was moving when expected to be stationary.

Troubleshooting

  • Verify mission parameters: Double-check the assigned mission speed in the control system to ensure it is correct.
  • Assess terrain and load: Consider if changes in terrain (e.g., wet areas, inclines, declines) or the attached implement load could be affecting the speed.
  • Contact Support: For "moving while stationary" events or persistent high-severity speed deviations, contact support immediately for diagnosis and repair.
