39: Software Restart

Understanding and Resolving Software Restart Pauses

This pause reason indicates that the Sabanto Autonomy System restarted its software. This is expected after certain changes, such as assigning a different implement, moving the vehicle to a different organization, or installing an update to the visual obstacle detection system. Navigation stops while the software restarts.

Severity

  • Low Severity:
    • A change to the implement was made that requires restarting ROS
    • ORG_ID was changed. Restarting tractor-robot
    • Sabanto Vision Component update. Restarting.
    • Restarting ROS from a tractor_command

 

Troubleshooting

  1. Wait for the restart to finish: The vehicle comes back online on its own. Check that it shows as connected in vMC before doing anything else.

  2. Check what changed: If you just changed the implement assigned to the vehicle, moved the vehicle to another organization, or an update was installed, the restart was expected.

  3. Resume navigation: Once the vehicle is back online, review its position and resume the mission.

  4. Contact support: If the vehicle restarts when nothing was changed, restarts repeatedly, or doesn't come back online, contact our support team.
