62: Subsystem Malfunction

Understanding and Resolving Subsystem Malfunction Pauses

This pause reason indicates that the autonomous operation was interrupted due to a detected malfunction or failure within one or more of the tractor's critical subsystems. The specific subsystem(s) affected can vary, and the messages may provide details about the nature of the failure. These pauses are often indicative of high CPU usage causing delays in internal communications.

Severity

  • Low Severity:
    • Navigation paused: Error detected with the following vOS subsystem: [steering, throttle, shuttle, remote valves, actuators, etc.].
  • High Severity:
    • Ignition turned off: Error detected with one or more vOS subsystems.
    • Navigation paused: Status of the vOS navigation system was unknown. Contact support.

Troubleshooting

  • Attempt a device restart: A system restart can sometimes resolve transient software glitches or communication errors.
  • Check connections (if applicable): If the error message points to a specific external sensor or component, check its physical connections for looseness or damage.
  • Contact support: For all high-severity subsystem malfunction errors, or if low-severity errors persist after a restart, contact our support team immediately with the recorded error message for further diagnosis and repair instructions.
