77: Obstacle in Path

Understanding and Resolving Obstacle in Path Pauses

This pause reason indicates that the Sabanto Autonomy System's collision detector found an obstacle in the path ahead, using the vehicle's cameras, radar sensor or infrared sensors. The vehicle pauses to prevent a collision and records images of what it detected.

Severity

  • Low Severity:

    • Navigation paused: [An object] was detected in the path ahead by the [front camera, rear camera, left camera, right camera, radar sensor, infrared sensor].

Troubleshooting

  1. Check the alert images: Open the alert in vMC and look at the images recorded when the vehicle paused. They show what was detected and which sensor detected it.

  2. Check the area: Look at the area around the vehicle, in person or with the vehicle's cameras, and confirm whether an obstacle is in the path.

  3. Clear the obstacle: If there is an obstacle, remove it or wait for it to move out of the path, then resume navigation.

  4. Clean the sensor: If nothing was in the path, clean the sensor named in the message. Dirt, dust, water, the sun or residue on a camera lens, the radar sensor or an infrared sensor can cause false detections.

  5. Contact support: If the vehicle keeps pausing with nothing in the path, or the same object is detected repeatedly after the sensor is clean, contact our support team or your dealer.
