87: Infrared Obstacle Detection Limited Run

Understanding and Resolving Infrared Obstacle Detection Limited Run Issues

This pause reason indicates that the Infrared sensors entered limited-run mode while navigation was enabled. In this mode, they may not be receiving the wheel speed, yaw rate, or direction information needed to detect obstacles, so navigation is paused. A low voltage condition below 24 can also induce this error.

Severity

  • Low Severity:
    • Navigation paused: The infrared obstacle detection system was not receiving the information needed to detect obstacles. Contact support.

Troubleshooting

  • Check sensor power: Confirm the sensors are powered with 24v and their connections are secure.
  • Check connections and communications: Inspect the relevant sensor and vehicle connections for loose wiring or communication issues.
  • Auto-resume: For vehicles running vOS 1.24.4+ confirm auto-resume is enabled so temporary delays in data communication do not hault autonomous operations.
  • Contact Support: If limited-run pauses persists, contact our support team to diagnose the missing inputs.
