Learn about new features, improvements and resolved issues.

vOS (Vehicle Operating System)

  • New Features & Improvements
    • vOS 1.19.1 was publicly released December 15th, 2025. Release notes →
      • Enhanced CV Model: Deployed an updated Computer Vision model designed to significantly reduce false positive detections.
      • Hardware Support: Added ROPS Radar support and improved the Radar configuration to ignore the tractor frame.
      • Electronic Hitch Calibration: Introduced automated John Deere 5M electronic hitch calibration.
      • Brake Diagnostics: Improved brake system logging and added context to measurement error messages for better field diagnostics.
      • Mission Stitching: Added the ability to stitch passes in order to create smoother transitions between consecutive missions.
  • Resolved Issues:
    • vPFM failing to wake remotely: Resolved a failure scenario where our cellular modem was losing configuration settings which caused vPFMs to fail to wake up remotely.

vMC (Vehicle Mission Control)

  • New Features & Improvements:
    • Native Mobile Application: The new native Sabanto Steward mobile app for Android and Apple phones allows operators to quickly control the Sabanto autonomy system and receive critical updates while on the move. Enable push notifications for the fastest, most reliable real-time alerts. Download Sabanto Steward today from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store!
    • Mission Queuing: Launched the Mission Queue, allowing operators to sequence multiple autonomous missions for a single vehicle and streamline workflows with a direct "+" shortcut to the mission planner. Learn more →
    • Mission Planning Enhancements: Introduced the ability to select fields and templates directly within the Mission Planner.
    • End On Last Pass: Added an end point option in mission planner to “End On Last Pass” in order to reduce unnecessary transits at the end of a mission and improve efficiency. Learn more →
    • Command to Point of Interest: Added the ability to command a vehicle to a point of interest directly from the map while viewing the vehicle. Learn more →
    • Geometry Import: Users can now import geometries directly on the geometries page.
    • Transit Buffering: Added the ability to buffer geometry directly from a recorded transit path for more flexible geometry management.
    • Filtering Templates: Added functionality to filter templates by specific vehicles and implements to streamline workflow selection.
  • Resolved Issues:
    • Mission Reliability: Fixed issues where templates were loading without passes and resolved an error when "Same as start" end-point calculations were failing.
    • Validation & Formatting: Hardened validation for vehicle IDs and attachment points to ensure data integrity during job creation.
    • Navigation & Refresh: Resolved a regression in the search bar refresh within the activity feed and fixed an issue where the Traversal Type was resetting when the browser lost focus.
    • Display Logic: Fixed "NaN" speed reporting and addressed a bug where users were incorrectly navigated to the vehicles page after creating an implement.
    • Advanced Parameter Formatting: Fixed an issue where advanced parameters were not formatting correctly when selecting "from previous" coverage plans.

Coverage Planner Algorithm

  • Resolved Issues
    • Dynamic Geometry Intersection: Updated the planner to ensure that circular passes (pivots) correctly interact with and are cut off by Non-Traversable Hazard (NTH) headlands, preventing overlapping paths in complex field geometries.
    • Headland Path Smoothing: Resolved a "waviness" issue in the outermost headlands where the path was not accurately reflecting boundary curves, preventing unnecessary vehicle swerving during navigation.
    • Geofence Interaction: Fixed a logic error where Non-Traversable Hazard (NTH) headlands were not being properly modified by pivot geometry, ensuring the geofence remains accurate across all coverage types.

Path Planner Algorithm

  • New Features & Improvements
    • Shortest Path Transit: Added functionality to calculate the shortest possible path when transiting between fields for improved efficiency.
    • Complex Ordering: Introduced hole sorting for hole-headlands ordering to more efficiently handle complex field geometries.
  • Resolved Issues
    • Geometry Processing: Resolved an error occurring when differencing MultiPolygon holes from geofences.
    • Speed Validation: Implemented a fix to ensure that pass-speed and turn-speed are uniquely defined and do not conflict.
    • Logic Integrity: Fixed activity type checks and addressed a regression where the system failed to correctly identify specific path types.
    • Transit Availability Investigation: Investigated and resolved a transit error where the system incorrectly reported "no transits available" despite multiple valid paths being present in the mission planner.
