Error: Obstacle

The autonomy system has detected an object in Zone 1 or Zone 2, and therefore it is close enough that the vehicle can no longer continue to operate in a safe manner.

What is this?

The autonomy system includes obstacle detection using a pair of 3D infrared sensors mounted on the front of the vehicle. These sensors are configured to detect obstacles in three separate zones that range in distance from very close (Zone 1) to further away (Zone 3).

Why am I seeing this?

The autonomy system has detected an object in Zone 1 or Zone 2, and therefore it is close enough that the vehicle can no longer continue to operate in a safe manner. The autonomy system has instructed the vehicle to stop and the current mission has been paused.

How to proceed

To prevent future issues, alter the coverage plan of your autonomous mission to avoid the area of the object by creating a non-traversable hole around it. Create a new coverage plan before running any new missions.
