Remote wake

Learn the details of how remote wake functions.

Requirements 

  1. This feature will only be available for customers who have a PFM ID with the first 4 digits of 0003-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
  2. vOS 1.15.0 or higher is required to be installed on the device for remote wake to function.

Remote wake will not be available for vPFM devices with the first 4 digits of 0002-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.

 

Remotely Waking Up an Autonomy System

Users who meet the above requirements will be able to remotely awaken their vPFM’s when in hibernation mode using Mission Control (vMC). For details on how hibernation mode is initiated please visit our page "Hibernation Mode". 

  1. To wake up from hibernation mode, click the "Wake Up" button when viewing the vehicle on vMC.
  2. The wake process may take up to 6 minutes to complete.
  3. Once the vPFM wakes, you can enable ignition, restart its engine, and continue working remotely.

Troubleshooting

  • vPFM does not wake up after 6 minutes.
    • Verify you have waited at least 6 minutes since you pressed the "Wake Up" button
    • Attempt to wake the system again
    • If the second attempt fails, the system will need to be powered off and back on with the battery disconnect. Instructions Here
