Monitor Autonomous Operations with Real-Time Video Streaming

Sabanto Steward™ enables operators to monitor field operations in real time through live video feeds from onboard cameras. This is especially useful when operators are not in the cab of the vehicle or do not have direct line of sight. By streaming live video, you can stay confident in the autonomous operation of your systems and ensure everything is functioning as expected.

Key Features

  1. Toggle Video Streaming: Easily turn video streaming on or off using the video camera button. When enabled, a video pane appears in the bottom-right corner of the map with the front camera view as the default.

  2. Camera Options: Within the video pane, operators can switch between camera views.

  3. Customizable Viewing: Operators can drag the video pane to a preferred location on the screen and resize the pane, making it easier to monitor while managing other tasks.

  4. Persistence Across Pages: When the video pane is visible, you can navigate away from the page in vMC and continue to monitor the vehicle's streaming video. When viewing other pages in vMC, a link to quickly navigate back to the vehicle will be present, should you need to remotely control the vehicle.

Limitations

  • The number of users who can view streaming video simultaneously is limited.

  • Expanding the video pane to full screen or opening it in a new window for multitasking is planned but not yet supported.

  • Multi-camera monitoring (viewing multiple feeds at once) is not available at this time.

  • Streaming live video of multiple systems simultaneously is not available at this time.

Troubleshooting

  • Video Streaming Unavailable:

    • Ensure the vehicle is operational and within network range.

    • Check the interface for any notifications regarding streaming availability.

  • Lag or Poor Video Quality:

    • Verify your internet connection and device performance.

    • Restart by toggling the video camera button off and on again.
