Hibernation Mode: Saving Battery Life While You Sleep!

Automatic hibernation mode

The vPFM will now enter a state that consumes very little battery power after the ignition has been off for 2 hours.

To enter hibernation mode, the emergency stop on the switch box must be pushed in, or the ignition must be turned off via any method. Once one of the previous conditions are met for 2 hours, the system will then enter hibernation mode.

More details on how this feature functions can be found here.

To bring the vPFM out of hibernation mode to full power, you must physically cycle the mushroom switch on the switchbox.

Obstacle detection improvements

We have improved the functionality of our obstacle detection system. The system is now less likely to pause from obstacles outside of the geofence. Also, detections within the field are more accurate on the sides of the vehicle.

Pauses outside of the geofence are still possible. We are actively working to further improve obstacle detection in upcoming releases.
