Rev Up Your Efficiency: New Remote Control, Safety Upgrades, and Dynamic Speed Control for Steward™!

Remote Wake

Users will be able to remotely awaken their vPFM’s from Mission Control on select devices.  After you remotely pause and shut down your autonomous tractors and they automatically hibernate, you’ll be able to remotely awaken the autonomous tractor, restart its engine, and continue working remotely.

This feature will only be available for customers who are running vOS 1.15.0+ have a PFM ID with the first 4 digits of 0003-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.

Auto-resume enhancements

After a tractor has paused with the “subsystem malfunction: steering” alert, it will automatically resume if the steering recovers within 15 seconds. The auto-resume feature will also engage if it has lost then re-acquired within 15 seconds, cellular signal, or GPS accuracy.

Seamless mission continuation after exiting hibernation mode

After a system is awakened from hibernation, you’ll be able to resume navigating on the same mission plan that the system was using before it hibernated without encountering path error issues.

Obstacle detection: Dust

The initial changes to reduce dust frequency in vOS 1.14.8 are now available on all platforms with this vOS release. The changes greatly reduce obstacle detection pauses on the Steward platform.

Dynamic speed control

Users will be able to nudge the speed of the vehicle up or down during an active mission without needing to abort the current mission and create a new one.

Safe PTO operations

We have added additional safety features for select implements.

For agri-vators, the PTO now cannot be engaged accidently while the implement is raised.

For mowers, the PTO now cannot be engaged accidently while the implements wings are folded.

The implement's equipment settings will need to be edited after a update to vOS 1.15.0
Change the configuration on vMC to the version that has the description "Requires vOS 1.15.0+" and save the equipment settings. Calibrate the implement then perform a device reset to get safe PTO functionality.

Geofence pre-empt pause for NTH

If the tractor gets too close to the geofence of a non-traversable hole, it will now preemptively pause before it crosses the geofence to help prevent it from violating the geofence around that non-traversable hole.

Support for AT&T cellular service in vPFMs

We now support the use of AT&T cellular service networks in new vPFM devices and can update the software of them over the air.

Parking brake improvements

Vehicles can no longer resume navigation when the parking brake is engaged.
